Sónar has always defined the cutting edge of electronic culture, but its 2026 edition marks a true turning point. The festival has announced the first 31 acts from a programme that will exceed 100 shows — and introduced a completely renewed structure: three days, one single venue, and uninterrupted music from afternoon to night.
For the first time ever, the full musical programme will take place entirely at Fira Barcelona – Gran Via, transforming the experience into a seamless, immersive journey across electronic sound in all its forms.
A powerful line-up that captures the state of electronic music today
Sónar 2026 immediately signals its ambition with a diverse and representative first wave of artists.
One of the biggest surprises is Kelis, performing at Sónar for the first time in her two-decade career. The R&B icon — from the groundbreaking Kaleidoscope to global hits like “Milkshake”, “Trick Me” and “Acapella” — will showcase her genre-blending, forward-thinking approach live in Barcelona.
Another highlight is Skepta, one of the most influential UK artists of his generation and a driving force behind grime’s global rise. He’ll present his new album Fork & Knife, expected in early 2026.
Techno plays a central role, with both Charlotte de Witte and Amelie Lens unveiling brand-new audiovisual shows — Charlotte presenting her new self-titled album and Lens introducing AURA, an exploration of shadow, light and movement. Rising house star Chris Stussy also joins the line-up.
Longtime Sónar favourites Modeselektor return with a completely new live show, while Danish trio WhoMadeWho bring their latest exploration of experimental electronic pop.
A major historic moment awaits: Cabaret Voltaire founders Stephen Mallinder and Chris Watson reunite to perform together, celebrating 50 years since their first show — a milestone in the history of industrial and experimental electronic music.
On the ambient and contemporary classical side, Julianna Barwick & Mary Lattimore will perform their upcoming album Tragic Magic, created using instruments from the Philharmonie de Paris.
Meanwhile, the club universe will be represented by bold innovators and new talents including Boys Noize, Ascendant Vierge, KETTAMA, DJ Gigola, Funk Tribu, Alba Franch, Ogazón, Clementaum b2b LAZA, and more.

A new festival model built for the future
The 2026 edition merges Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night into a single location — without mixing their identities. Six distinct stages, including beloved spaces like SonarClub, SonarLab and SonarCar, plus a refreshed SonarHall and expanded open-air areas, will offer continuous programming with extended hours.
Festival director François Jozic emphasizes the goal: “Barcelona must once again become the capital of electronic culture.”
Sónar+D expands its creative and technological footprint
Sónar+D will have an even stronger presence inside Fira Gran Via, with immersive installations, interactive artworks and digital experiences integrated directly into the festival. Meanwhile, the conference portion — talks, debates and networking — will take place in central Barcelona on the mornings of 18 and 19 June.
Standalone tickets for Sónar+D will be available for the first time, making its content more accessible to both professionals and the general public.
A visual identity that embodies continuous evolution
The new SonarImage campaign, created by Boldtron, imagines Sónar as a living organism in constant mutation — a fitting metaphor for a festival that has always reinvented itself while remaining a reference point for global electronic culture.
