The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) has once again proven why it stands at the summit of global electronic music. Following a record-breaking 2025 edition that drew 600,000 visitors and nearly 3,500 artists across 1,200+ events in more than 300 locations, the organization has officially announced the dates for its 30-year anniversary celebration: October 21–25, 2026.
As the world’s leading festival and conference for electronic music, ADE continues to shape the culture — pushing boundaries, celebrating diversity, and uniting a worldwide community of artists, fans, and industry innovators.
A citywide celebration of sound and culture
For five unforgettable days, Amsterdam transformed into the beating heart of electronic music. The 2025 edition delivered a richly diverse program that highlighted the genre’s endless spectrum — from underground experiments to grand-scale showcases.
Opening Specials illuminated the city, while Honey Dijon and Audio Obscura’s PRAISE turned the Nieuwe Kerk into a “black queer church” celebrating love, freedom, and rhythm. Massive productions like Klangkuenstler at Ziggo Dome and Awakenings at their new SugarFactory base set the tone for ADE’s larger-than-life energy, while the city’s more intimate venues — including SkateCafe, Garage Noord, RAUM, Klaproos, Tilla Tec, Studio Wieman, Lofi, and De Bajes — showcased the raw, inclusive spirit that defines Amsterdam’s underground.
From its festival to its Arts & Culture program, ADE 2025 demonstrated how electronic music continues to evolve as both a sound and a social movement.

Expanding horizons: the conference and ADE Lab
Beyond the dancefloors, ADE’s conference and educational programs reached new heights. The introduction of the Pro venue Rosewood and the relocation of ADE Lab to Westergas opened new spaces for connection, collaboration, and inspiration.
The conference featured a powerful mix of global voices — from groundbreaking artists like Skepta, KI/KI, Eris Drew, Chris Stussy, TxC, ANNA, and Chris Liebing to leading companies including Google DeepMind, Epic Games, SoundCloud, Spotify, COLORSxSTUDIOS, Helix Records, Sony Music, and Tomorrowland Brasil.
These conversations reinforced ADE’s unique position as both a creative playground and a professional hub — where the future of music, technology, and artistry converge.
Three decades of electronic music innovation
As ADE approaches its 30th anniversary, it stands as a testament to how far electronic music has come. What began in 1996 as a small meeting ground for DJs and industry insiders has grown into the most influential platform for electronic music worldwide — shaping the genre’s global identity as an art form and a thriving business.
In 2026, ADE will celebrate 30 years of driving electronic music forward, unveiling a series of special events, projects, and initiatives that will honor its legacy and look ahead to the next generation.
