Yann Pissenem, one of the most influential figures in global electronic music nightlife, has been announced as the recipient of the IMS Legends Award 2026.
The founder and CEO of The Night League and Ushuaïa Entertainment will also take part in a headline keynote interview at IMS Ibiza 2026, returning to Cala Llonga from April 22–24, 2026.
The award will be formally presented during an exclusive dinner on Wednesday, April 22, marking one of the defining moments of the 17th edition of the International Music Summit.
With over three decades at the forefront of nightlife innovation, Yann Pissenem has played a decisive role in transforming Ibiza into the world’s leading electronic music destination.
From breaking traditional DJ residency models with Ushuaïa Ibiza, to relaunching Hï Ibiza for a new generation, and most recently unveiling the boundary-pushing venue [UNVRS], his work has consistently challenged what nightlife can be.
As the creative force behind Ushuaïa Ibiza, Hï Ibiza, Playa Soleil, ANTS and the internationally acclaimed Ushuaïa Dubai Harbour Experience, Yann Pissenem has built a global ecosystem where music, production, architecture and technology converge into fully immersive experiences.
Today, The Night League welcomes more than two million guests annually, setting new benchmarks for scale, quality and cultural impact in electronic music entertainment.
Reacting to the announcement, Yann Pissenem shared a deeply personal statement reflecting on his journey and connection to the island:
“Ibiza has been my home and my inspiration for many years and the Island, with its unique spirit, creativity and freedom, has shaped not only my work, but also my entire understanding of nightlife and electronic music culture.”
He continued by thanking the artists, partners and teams who have shaped his vision over the years, highlighting the sense of family that exists behind the scenes of his venues:
“What began as professional collaboration has, over the years, grown into a true extended family built on trust, respect and shared values. This award belongs to everyone who has been part of that vision.”
Yann Pissenem also underlined the responsibility that comes with scale, nothing that welcoming millions of clubbers each year is both humbling and motivating as nightlife continues to evolve.
At IMS Ibiza 2026, Pissenem will sit down with Pete Tong for an in-depth keynote conversation exploring one of the most fascinating careers in the music industry. The discussion is expected to span early risk-taking, creative leadership, global expansion and the future of large-scale electronic music venues.
According to IMS organisers, Pissenem is a true rule-breaker who has “changed the rules again and again,” from his first beach events to the launch of next-generation venues that redefine the clubbing experience.
The summit returns to Mondrian Ibiza & Hyde Ibiza in Cala Llonga, bringing together thousands of artists, executives and creatives for three days of panels, networking and forward-thinking discussion at the intersection of culture, industry and wellness.
As the electronic music industry looks ahead, Yann Pissenem’s IMS Legends Award feels less like a retrospective honour and more like recognition of a vision that is still actively shaping the future of global nightlife.
