Milan is set to welcome one of the most anticipated electronic music events of the season. On May 16, Brazilian DJ and producer Mochakk will bring his rapidly growing global event series Mochakk Calling to the city for the very first time, taking over the industrial spaces of Ex Macello Milano for a massive show.
With a capacity of 9,000 people, the event marks the Milan debut of the format and a significant milestone in Mochakk’s growing connection with the Italian audience. Mochakk will headline the night, while the rest of the line-up will be announced soon. The first ticket release is already available in pre-sale, and high demand is expected.
A major moment for Milan’s electronic music scene
Over the past few years, Mochakk has built a particularly strong following in Italy, thanks to standout performances at events such as Kappa FuturFestival, Circoloco Milan, and several appearances at the iconic Cocoricò.
With Mochakk Calling Milan, the artist brings his own event concept to one of Europe’s most vibrant cultural capitals, marking a new chapter in his relationship with the country’s clubbing scene.
The venue plays a key role in the experience. Ex Macello, a former slaughterhouse complex known for its exposed brick architecture and post-industrial atmosphere, has become one of Milan’s most distinctive creative hubs for music and art. The space provides the perfect backdrop for a large-scale electronic music event.
A global event brand on the rise
In recent years, Mochakk Calling has rapidly established itself as one of the most sought-after event brands in contemporary electronic music, selling out shows in major cities including São Paulo, Lisbon, Miami, New York, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires and Sydney.
In 2025 the concept expanded further with the launch of the Mochakk Calling Festival in Malta, featuring artists such as Honey Dijon, Bonobo, Seth Troxler and Mall Grab.
Following the Milan event, the series will continue its global journey with a stop in Barcelona on June 20, where Mochakk Calling will debut at OFFSónar on the iconic Plaza Mayor stage at Poble Espanyol as part of the festival’s official program.
Part of a major European tour
The Milan show will take place in the middle of an important European run for the artist. On May 17, Mochakk will head to Nuits Sonores in Lyon, France, where he will curate the festival’s main stage.
The same week will also see the release of new music from the artist, with further details expected to be announced soon.
Mochakk: one of Brazil’s leading electronic artists
Behind the project is Pedro Maia, better known as Mochakk, widely recognized as one of the most exciting electronic music talents to emerge from Brazil in recent years.
He achieved international recognition in 2023 with the powerful release “Jealous” on Circoloco Records, followed by the EPs “Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 I & II”. His catalogue includes several standout tracks, including “Da Fonk” featuring Joni, which has surpassed 50 million streams on Spotify.
In 2025, Mochakk made his debut on Ninja Tune with the EP “From the Stars” and released the official remix of PinkPantheress’ “Noises.”
His rapid rise has taken him to some of the world’s most prestigious festivals and clubs, including Coachella, Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, Time Warp, Panorama Bar, Sunny Hill Festival and Sónar, alongside his ongoing residency with Circoloco at DC-10 in Ibiza. In 2024 he also performed a spectacular sold-out show on Hollywood Boulevard in front of 12,000 people.
