Legendary club Ministry of Sound is pioneering a new era of nightlife by launching a brand new sober rave series this summer, designed for the growing community of sober and sober-curious ravers.

Set to kick off on May 11th, this series will run quarterly through to November, offering a fresh way to experience music and community without alcohol.

This event marks the first in-house initiative by Ministry of Sound dedicated entirely to sober ravers, continuing the venue’s legacy of embracing new cultural movements and pushing the boundaries of what nightlife can be.

A New Era for Sober Raving

The launch of this sober rave series follows the success of events like Ecstatic Disco and Dry Disco at Ministry of Sound, but 2025’s series represents the club’s first in-house brand specifically designed to cater to the sober and sober-curious crowd.

DRIIA, a rising star in the UK music scene, will take center stage for the daytime raves. Known for her ethereal sound that fuses UKG, Jungle, and Breaks, DRIIA has garnered attention as Danny Howard’s BBC Radio 1 Future Star and is dedicated to pushing conversations around sober raving within underground music scenes.

She is supported by artists like Main Phase, Turno, and Jaguar, who have helped her build a devoted fanbase.

“Dancing shouldn’t be exclusive to drinking,” DRIIA says. “Through this partnership with Ministry of Sound, I hope to show that sobriety can enhance the enjoyment of music. You can still love underground genres like UKG, DnB, Dubstep, and Jungle, without the need for alcohol. This space is about the music, the community, and the connection.”

Innovative Drinks Menu for Sober Partiers

Accompanying this exciting new initiative is an exclusive mocktail menu, carefully curated by Laura Andrijauskaitė, the club’s bar manager.

From February onward, the venue will offer a selection of No and Low-alcohol drinks across the club, including CBD-infused beverages, mushroom drinks, and low-alcohol options.

Brands like LUCKY SAINT, Trip, and REAL.co have collaborated with Ministry of Sound to bring this range to life, ensuring that sober ravers have as many flavorful options as their alcohol-consuming counterparts.

“I’ve carefully selected drinks that deliver on taste and experience,” says Andrijauskaitė. “From the CBD-infused Trip to the wine alternatives from Real.co, we’ve created a diverse range of drinks that pair perfectly with a night of music.

Our sober lineup includes options like low-alcohol Smiling Wolf spirits and Lucky Saint’s 0% beers that complement any cocktail or mixer.”

A Growing Community of Sober Ravers

With an ever-growing sober-curious community, Ministry of Sound’s new initiative is poised to make waves in the nightlife scene.

“Our roots in egalitarianism have always been about positive change,” says Matt Long, Club Director at Ministry of Sound. “By catering to those who seek inclusive nightlife experiences, we’re offering an environment where connection and energy take center stage. Whether you’re enjoying a zero-proof mocktail or a low-alcohol beer, it’s about making memories.”

Ministry of Sound’s sober rave series is a part of the broader movement toward mindful, alcohol-free socializing and a refreshing step forward in redefining club culture.

No hangovers, no regrets, just nights to remember.
