Where electronic music meets cultural heritage: a night of sound, light, and timeless beauty.

Last Friday, the Renaissance walls of the Château de Chambord came alive as Michael Canitrot brought his acclaimed Monumental Tour to one of France’s most iconic landmarks.

In a truly immersive experience, architecture, technology, and electronic music converged to create one of the most visually and sonically striking events of the year.

This wasn’t just a show – it was an artistic statement.

With Chambord serving as both canvas and inspiration, Canitrot crafted a powerful audiovisual journey that blended history with modernity. The event also carried a strong message of preservation: proceeds from the night are going toward the restoration of the château’s historic François I wing.

“Chambord is a unique place where history, architecture, and grandeur come together in the service of beauty,” said Canitrot. “More than five centuries after its creation, this masterpiece continues to captivate. To make my music resonate there and inscribe it within such a setting will remain an unforgettable experience.”

A monumental experience

True to its name, the Monumental Tour is more than a concert series – it’s a celebration of culture and creativity.

At Chambord, cutting-edge visuals and lighting design were mapped onto the château’s grand façades, transforming it into a living, breathing sculpture of sound and light. Canitrot’s set offered not just beats, but a sense of narrative, using music to bridge centuries of heritage with today’s digital age.

A tour that honors the past while shaping the future

The performance at Chambord is the latest in a string of unforgettable stops for the Monumental Tour, which has already left its mark on historic and symbolic locations including Notre-Dame de Paris, Mont-Saint-Michel, the Eiffel Tower, Paris’s Palais Royal, and the Basílica del Pilar in Zaragoza.

Each event is a chapter in an ongoing journey that redefines how we experience both music and monuments. And at Chambord, that vision reached new heights – proving once again that electronic music, when paired with the right setting, becomes something truly transcendent.

A night to remember, and one that – like the château itself – will stand the test of time.
