Sunglass: a new vision for Rome’s electronic nightlife

What makes a night truly special? Music is certainly part of the answer, but there is much more to it: the people you meet, the atmosphere that grows as the evening progresses, an unexpected performance or simply that feeling of being in the right place at the right time, when you realise that something is about to happen.

This is the idea behind Sunglass, the format created by N A TIVO, which will bring its Season 2026 Closing Party to Rome’s Satyrus on October 16, creating a full day and night built around electronic music, live performance, visual elements and creativity, with the programme beginning in the afternoon and continuing until 3 AM.

The name itself reflects an element that has long been part of club culture as sunglasses, often worn inside clubs even after dark, have become a recognisable symbol of a nightlife built around music, freedom and nights that continue until sunrise.

Sunglass takes that familiar image and turns it into the identity of a format that aims to bring music back to the centre while creating a space where different forms of creativity can meet.

At the heart of the project is the desire to create new connections between artists, professionals and audiences, giving electronic music a broader dimension through performance, visual elements and interaction.

It is a vision that will become particularly clear throughout the October 16 programme, which begins at 4 PM with the Media Hub, dedicated to the artists taking part in the event, with interviews and editorial content before the musical programme gradually moves into its next phase.

From 6 PM, the atmosphere will shift towards a soft-clubbing performance, leading into the main party from 7 PM and continuing throughout the night.

Rather than treating the event as a single moment, Sunglass has been structured as a progression in which the atmosphere changes naturally as the afternoon turns into evening and the evening into night.

The line-up follows the same philosophy, bringing together different musical and performance elements. AVA Irandoost will add an international female presence to the programme, while Seth Schwarz will bring his distinctive combination of DJing and violin to the Satyrus, creating one of the moments in which music becomes something to watch as well as something to hear. At 11 PM, N A TIVO will take over the decks, followed by Stefano Mottola from 1 AM, while Frank Nastri, special guest on electronic percussion, will perform across the different sets, adding a live component to the sound.

As the night develops, the Satyrus will gradually change with it, with music, lights, LED visuals and performances becoming part of the same environment.

The intention is to create a dancefloor where the DJ set is not simply something happening behind the booth, but part of a wider performance in which sound, movement and image interact with each other.

For N A TIVO, the key word behind this approach is art, understood as the possibility of bringing different creative languages together and giving nightlife a space in which music, image and performance can exist side by side.

This idea also extends to the way artists are presented. The Media Hub will provide a meeting point where the DJs and performers involved in the event can talk about their music, their stories and the emotions behind what they do, creating content that goes beyond the few hours spent inside the club.

Enjoy Television, RIN Italia Network and Trend Discotec will be Media Partners of the event, with Enjoy Television documenting the night and the Media Hub hosting interviews with the artists. The resulting content will continue across the three media platforms, bringing the stories and emotions of Sunglass beyond the walls of the Satyrus and allowing the audience to discover another side of the people behind the music.

From the first interviews in the afternoon to the soft-clubbing performance at sunset and the music that will carry the night through to 3 AM, Sunglass is designed as a journey in which each moment leads naturally into the next, bringing together electronic music, performance, visual creativity and the people who give meaning to the scene.

On October 16, Rome will therefore host the Sunglass Season 2026 Closing Party, an event built around the idea that nightlife can still create moments of connection, surprise and emotion when music becomes the starting point for something bigger.
