From February 11–16, 2026, Buenos Aires will become a global focal point for electronic music with the launch of BAD – Buenos Aires Dance, Latin America’s first fully integrated platform where music, technology and the future of the industry come together.
Set just days before ULTRA Buenos Aires, BAD unfolds as a city-wide experience. From February 11–13, the iconic Usina del Arte hosts the core of the programme, while pop-ups and special activations extend across Buenos Aires, turning the city into a living stage for electronic music culture.
A new vision for Latin America’s electronic scene
BAD was created with a clear mission: to inspire, educate and help shape the future of electronic music in Latin America. Throughout the week, DJs, producers, promoters, managers, labels, bookers and educators from around the world will converge in Buenos Aires, sharing knowledge, building connections and strengthening the region’s position on a global scale.
“Buenos Aires has established itself as one of the most important cities in the world for electronic music,” the organisers state. “With BAD, our goal is to build community, boost careers, professionalise the industry and position the region globally.”
Iconic voices and scene-shaping perspectives
Among the confirmed speakers is Richie Hawtin, a defining figure in global techno whose long-standing relationship with Argentina has left a lasting imprint on the country’s electronic music culture. Joining him is Indira Paganotto, one of the leading psytrance artists worldwide, offering her perspective on where electronic music is headed.
The programme strengthens the bridge between global and Latin American scenes through artists such as Kevin de Vries, Carlita, Kolombo, Fran Bortolossi and Miguel Bastida, alongside key local figures Jay De Lys, Juan Hansen, Emiliano Demarco and Mariano Mellino.
A dedicated “Women in Music” talk, featuring Victoria Engel, Inda Jani, La Cintia, Lolu Menayed and Malena Narvay, aligns BAD with the global movement toward gender equity within the electronic music industry.
A full week of culture, connection and industry
BAD is designed as a continuous journey rather than a single event. Talks and workshops led by influential international and regional figures form the backbone of the programme at Usina del Arte, while curated pop-ups and special experiences activate key locations across the city. Carefully designed networking spaces encourage meaningful connections between professionals, fostering collaboration and long-term opportunities within the global electronic music ecosystem.
The week officially kicks off on February 11 with the opening event at Avant Garden, continues on February 12 and 13 with conferences, workshops and city pop-ups, and naturally flows into ULTRA Buenos Aires, taking place on February 14 and 15 at Parque de la Ciudad.
With BAD, Buenos Aires reinforces its status as a global cultural hub for electronic music, placing Latin America firmly at the center of the international conversation.
