Ibiza’s house music scene is getting a serious upgrade: Defected Records has announced its 2026 residency at Chinois, the Marina Ibiza hotspot known for its intimate, dancefloor-focused ethos.
Every Thursday, from May 7 to October 8, Defected will bring its signature mix of top-tier house, combining both breakthrough talents and genre veterans.
Defected CEO Wez Saunders highlighted the synergy:
“Chinois’ sound system, room design and audience focus allow the music, the DJ and the crowd to be the hero, creating the kind of authentic, communal house experience Defected is known for.”
Chinois has carved out its reputation by blending high production values—immersive visuals and cutting-edge sound—with a true respect for the Ibiza spirit. IMS Ibiza co-founder and Chinois brand manager Danny Whittle adds:
“Having collaborated with Defected for over 25 years, it’s incredibly exciting to work together again for 2026. Both brands prioritize music first. It’s a match made in heaven.”
The residency offers fans a limited run of €30 early-bird tickets until January 6, ensuring access to one of the island’s most anticipated music experiences.
With the full lineup still to be revealed, this partnership promises a summer of carefully curated, high-quality house music that stays true to Defected’s DNA.
