From October 22 to 26, 2025, the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) will join forces with Amsterdam 750, the city’s official 750th-anniversary celebration, for a week-long convergence of music, culture, and community.
This collaboration creates a unique bridge between two milestones: the world’s leading electronic music platform and the culmination of a year-long citywide jubilee.
Music, Art, and Community: An Integrated Program
ADE 2025 will serve as both a music festival and a cultural celebration, leading into Amsterdam’s official birthday on October 27.
As part of this partnership, ADE Arts & Culture x 750 will feature daily events at some of Amsterdam’s most iconic venues, combining electronic music with immersive performances, visual arts, and cultural showcases that reflect the city’s diversity and vibrant communities.
Confirmed highlights include:

Opening Specials at ARTIS Planetarium featuring synth legend Suzanne Ciani and Julius Horsthuis x Rival Consoles.

“Suriname Rising – 50 Years of Freedom in Music” at Concertgebouw, celebrating Surinamese culture through electronic influences.

ZERØBPM, a 39.5-hour ambient meditation marathon with 26 artists at Thomaskerk.

An evening exploring Chinese Club Culture at Wereldmuseum Amsterdam.
The celebrations culminate on October 27 with ADE x Amsterdam 750: live ambient sessions by Young Marco, Legowelt, and Mary Lake at Concertgebouw—a reflective, intimate tribute to the city that shaped their music, coinciding with Amsterdam’s 750th birthday.
ADE Friends x 750: A Citywide Invitation
The ADE Friends program, known for community-driven daytime activities, joins Amsterdam 750 to offer events at around 130 locations. From in-store DJ sessions and radio livestreams to music-infused sports events and vinyl marathons, most of the program is free to attend, welcoming residents and visitors to experience ADE’s most inspiring community initiatives.

A Year of Celebrations for Amsterdam
Amsterdam 750 officially began on October 27, 2024, and runs through October 27, 2025, with hundreds of events across neighborhoods, including festivals, exhibitions, performances, and community activities. The jubilee concludes with the National Celebration of Amsterdam 750 Years, broadcast live on NPO 1, featuring Dutch artists paying musical tribute to the capital.
