The future of electronic music is set to be shaped at Midance & Convention Deejay 2024, returning this November with an inspiring two-day program.

Hosted at Kong Location in Arese on Sunday, November 10, and at Frida in Milan on Monday, November 11, these events promise an unparalleled experience for music industry professionals, artists, and electronic music enthusiasts alike.

Midance, founded over two decades ago, is Italy’s longest-running annual electronic music event, dedicated to fostering collaboration and innovation in the industry.

Originally conceived as a meeting point for DJs, producers, and labels, Midance has grown to encompass a wide spectrum of electronic music interests, making it a premier networking hub for B2B connections within Italy and beyond.

For its 22nd edition, Midance joins forces with Convention Deejay to deliver Italy’s premier B2B gathering for the electronic music industry, a platform that fosters collaboration among producers, label owners, DJs, and promoters for discussing new trends, technologies, and business strategies essential to the future of electronic music.

As the event expands after past editions in Ibiza, this year’s convention will offer both in-person and global live-streaming options.

Attendees will tackle pressing topics in today’s music scene, from live event production and promotion to the transformative role of artificial intelligence in music.

The summit begins on Sunday at Kong Location with an afternoon packed with learning and networking. Starting at 3:00 PM, participants will have hands-on access to the latest DJ and production equipment. Following this demo session, attendees can join a coffee break where feedback on music production will be the central focus, offering a rare chance to receive insights from industry peers.

A pivotal panel discussion on the impact of artificial intelligence on music will follow, led by experts Sebastian Zdrojewski and Maurizio Picciotti.

This dialogue will explore AI’s role in reshaping the music industry, from production to audience engagement.

The program will also cover evolving communication strategies, featuring industry figures such as Jacopo Griffante (joining remotely) and Cristiana Elli from Enjoy Television, who will delve into harnessing both traditional and digital media to enhance outreach.

To close the day, a panel on new record label opportunities will take center stage, with contributions from Carlo Alberto Cavallotti and SILS President Filippo Regis.

This discussion is expected to offer invaluable insights for anyone looking to navigate the rapidly changing music distribution landscape.

The event continues on Monday at Frida in Milan, where “Midance & Convention Deejay Drink & Biz” will provide a relaxed yet dynamic environment for business networking.

Through structured worktables and informal meet-ups, participants will have ample opportunity to connect and collaborate.

Key media partners such as Radio WOW, Enjoy Television, Radio Studiopiù Ibiza, and Radio Emotions will provide extensive event coverage, while top record labels including kdope, Noodles Muzik, Strakton Records, and UMM will be present to explore new business ventures.

This year’s Midance & Convention Deejay events offer a vital platform for those in the music and entertainment sectors, presenting not only opportunities for education and innovation but also the chance to forge new alliances in an industry that is constantly evolving.
